The Murph is a classic CrossFit Hero workout that is beloved by athletes all over the world. This Memorial Day weekend join thousands of other athletes in honoring those who have sacrificed for our country by completing the Murph Challenge.
The Murph is named after Navy Lieutenant Michael P. Murphy, who was killed in action in Afghanistan on June 28th, 2005. This workout is about honoring him and all of those who have sacrificed for our country. We take the Murph Challenge together to push each other to do our bests, and build a supportive community for each of us.
Everybody can do the Murph! It consists of a 1-mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 air squats, and another 1-mile run in a 20 pounds vest. It's a great workout that will test your endurance and strength. While it may be daunting, we can scale the movements to make them achievable. It is available to everybody from 5 to 105! We will tailor the movements, but we guarantee a great workout.
Join us on Saturday, May 28th as we host the Murph Challenge at Black Widow CrossFit! This event will be a test of your strength, endurance, and community spirit. Come join us as we remember Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy and all of those who have given their lives for our country. We know that you can do the Murph!
